I Love My "Laska"

I haven't felt much like writing these past few days...maybe tomm I'll feel a little better. My little dog who I have loved for a very long time finally went away to heaven....and I miss her. She has been with me through so much and was my very first "child". She was the greatest dog a girl could have! and I don't think I'll be lucky enough to find such a sweet spirit with those beautiful baby blues!

LOL to family and all! I miss everyone and will write more soon! :)

Lots of Stuff

I have been so busy busy busy over the past few weeks and the weather has been so snowy, icy cold that this pregnant lady hasn't been able to get out and walk much and she is going CRAZY.

We celebrated our anniversary (kiss kiss to my LOVA...) and on our lovely day our little tiny daughter ended getting some shots at her Dr's appt....and so it was that she did not feel so well and decided to give me a special present....a wonderful anniversary present of some lovely PUKE. Poor baby....and a memorable day! :) Oh the joys!

I am so Happy Happy Happy to be the proud new Auntie of a beautiful niece....congratulations to my best couple friend....:) Jenny and Scott! I am so proud of my best friend for bringing forth a 9 lb baby into this world! I bow to you...haha ! Two beautiful people who now have a beautiful baby (and of course you too Isis). Look out world....here comes Finley Chambers. And so now we'll have a Shelby and a Natalie and a Finley. All these eeee's at the end of the names....

All is well with baby teeny weeny. We can say now with certainty that teeny weeny is a little girl and she is already close to 3lbs. So we believe that SHE may make it pass the P-nutts size. We have picked out her name and set a date for her birthday....(will disclose after the new year) :)

I am excited to say that POO-Choo and I have been discussing running the First Seattle Rock-n Roll half marathon in June. It's a little ways off and it probably sounds ambitious at this point....but I think a GOAL gives me something to look forward to and will motivate me to keep on struttin on even through this wintery winter. Poo Choo is the one who found out that they were doing it this upcoming year....so hopefully we'll just sign up and make a go of it. Thanks Poo Choo.

Just want to wish everyone a Fabulous, wonderful and happy Merry Christmas!!!! I am going to try and get out there in the snow tommorrow. Tonight we are headed out to see a basketball game and it's still snowing pretty hard so this afternoon is out. I finally pulled out my Yakitrax so I can get my wobbly butt out there. Lots of Love to All!

Little Miss...

We had a fantastic weekend.....once again.....and once again it went by way to fast. I didn't end up putting any mileage in this weekend but I'll make up for it this week I'm sure. :) I took little Miss Shelbykins to see the Nutcracker while Daddy spent time with P-nutt and then Daddy took Shelbz to see the Spokane Chiefs play hockey. I honestly think she loved the hockey game more then the ballet (thats my girl).
I feel like I am growing by the minute.....so maybe this baby is going to make it over five pounds after all. Teeny Weeny is an active little bugger.....god I was hoping for a nice mellow one....hahaha! We have Shelby who is the sweetest and most well behaved seven year old I have ever met. Plus she can fall asleep on cue and sleeps like a log. Then we have P-nutt who is going 100 mph and only sleeps like 10 hours a night if we're lucky....although she has been taking a nice two hour nap for me in the afternoon. Then we have Teeny Weeny. We will be finding out BOY or GIRL 100% here next week. So if it is a boy sorry...Teeny Weeny.
Short post today....but I gotta run. Lots of love to the Grandma's and Grandpa's and everyone else we know and love. Still waiting for little Cletuses arrival (as I am sure Mum is since she probably feels like she's about to pop). Thank you Grandma Colleen for the congrats....we love and miss you!

Learning More...

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.
-Dalai Lama

Last week I finished the "Happiest Toddler on the Block"....even though I sneak a peak at it every now and again to reread sections of it! :) This week I got a book by the Dalai Lama. It is a small book of only 200 pages or so but so far it has been a real heart and eye opener if you know what I mean. I took Tuesday and Wednesday off from exercising (did a little walking with P-nutt) so that I could rest my tired pregnant body and soul so my nose has been in a book (mine or P-nutts) instead. It's six miles per day for the rest of the week so I wanted to gear up.

I am looking forward to the weekend....Yay! Lots to do and see and getting ready for Santa time! I am looking forward to seeing little Cletus the Fetus (as is everyone else I'm sure)....that is if he decides to make his grand entrance....:) Lots of love to all!

Turkey Day, Half Marathon and Olympia

So turkey day was here and is now over and gone....sniff sniff! No matter how much we harrassed poor little Cletus he wouldn't come out! He just didn't feel like Thanksgiving was his time to have a birthday. So much for planning to NOT have a baby in December....I guess we can blame that one on the green beer and good times on St. Paddies Day! :)

Thanksgiving was fun and relaxing and it really did go by really fast. The boys cooked us a wonderful feast and I have to say that it was probably one of the best turkeys I have ever tasted. Now I know everyone was thinking I was talking about seafood for turkey day...but I had a traditional feast. The seafood was just a plus for being over on the West (aka Wet) side of the state of Washington. Sad to say that when Jake and I went out for crab....the crazy critters were either really popular or on strike because we couldn't find any. At least the dungeness we were looking for.

We took a little trip back to Olympia and I was so excited to be there. It was just as I had left it...and it made me a little home sick. I love that little city and I have alot of wonderful memories from when I lived there. I think P-nutt really loved it too. We took her to the farmers market and walked downtown and on the pier. It was great to get a sniff of the Puget Sound air....even if it was just for a short while.

We were lucky enough to get a little bit of blue sky and sun that day too.
The half marathon ended up being a nice 10 miler for me. I had to cut it 3 miles short because of time constraint (mainly a 6 hour drive back home) and after 3.5 hours I was ready to eat and rest. I felt really good to have accomplished at least this much...even if it was walking. No screaming crowds and big time clock for me this time around....but I am proud of myself and thats all that matters.
On Friday we will be 26 weeks pregnant....ahhhh the third trimester. Looking forward to all of that...(gulp) :)
