It's Saturday already....and almost the end of August....and sadly the end of summer. Where did the time go? I think this was the fastest summer I have experienced in my life. We really managed to cram 10 million things "to do" during these three months. We have traveled from one side of the state to the other and back again....thank god we can take a breather from all that.
So the running has been going along really well. Last week I ran 3 of the 4 training runs and felt great. This week I have only been out to run once....but I will be out there tomm for sure. We just have been so busy with getting some of the home improvement stuff completed.....and we finally finished the flooring in the rest of the house......YAY! It looks beautiful and I love it. We had originally started with the laundry room and kitchen but..... then moved on to the dining room and out to the front entry way. On top of the flooring we retiled the front entry way and painted, updated fixtures, replaced window treatments and on and on and on....but it was well worth all the work, and sweat and chasing baby around the house.
I think that I just finished Week 13. So here I am at the half way point and I have only one run in this week. I feel ok about it....just need to come back with renewed spirit for the next 13 weeks. A new week is coming up...will post training schedule. Bye for now!

Ok. I have been running. I am going to post tonight after I go out for my run. I just haven't had much time to post lately due to A). Being gone on vacation and B). Been so busy with 10 million other things and baby. I even lost track of what week number I'm at if you can believe that. WPMT. Until then hope everyone is having a wonderful week!

Mommy runs in the Morning
I have said a million times that running in the am is the way to go. I know this sounds weird but there are days when I have to do a double take....and realize I am a "Mommy". (Ok for the past 12 plus years I have been the mother to 2 dogs and 2 cats and one plant...that has to count for something). Anywayzzzzz my whole point here is that Mommy runs WAY better in the morning. It seems that all the running moms get up at the crack of dawn because it is the only time to sneak off and get the distance done.
This morning I ran a nice easy smooth 4 miler and I felt really good. I got out of bed at 4:40 and was on the road by 4:50. I have been running with no stops at all and averaging a 12 min pace....which I know is not the fastest pace in the world but I am happy to finish 4 miles at that pace.
We are looking for a jogging stroller....I really want the Iron Man....It's so hard to find a used Bob around. Haha! (sounded weird) I really want to take P-nutt/Bean-nutt out running with me this fall. I haven't taken the bean out running in awhile just for the fact that it I needed to get stronger and run some mileage on my own before I pushed a stroller. But I think we're ready and she does love being outside.
Tomm................6miles..............the longest distance so far. I haven't run a six miler since my race at Chelan last year. If I make it I am going to celebrate...............WML

Week 11
Ok heres the scoop. I ran well last week. I ran my longest run on Saturday approx 4 miles and felt really strong. I will be admit I did have a nice biff on some gravel as I began my run....owie. I thought I was cool and was picking up the pace when I must have hit a little hole and basically slid like I was sliding into home plate....and so I had some serious skids on my leg. It happens every once in awhile....I never said I wasn't a KLUTZ. It pumped my adrenaline so my run went by pretty quick.
This week (yesterday) started out a little slow. I was feeling a little tired when I ran last night....but I was running hills (yuck). I felt a little more alive by the end of the 3 miles but was glad when I was finished. Tomm is another 4 miler. I pick up the pace this week...and will try my hand at six miles on Friday and then another 3 miler. I am going to see how I feel getting through the six miler and see what my time is so I can start picking up the pace a lil bit. My mile time is slow..... but I was a little tired so I am going to see how I do this week. Hopefully this week it will be a little better.
We've been doing alot of little hikes with the girls....

Today we went up to Schweitzer Mountain and it was absolutely breathtaking and the pictures don't do it justice.

This week is going to be challenging but I am looking forward to running the longer distances. I am looking forward to spending more time with the girls...as they make my day and are constantly making me laugh with all the weird stuff they do. Honestly I never knew being a mom could be so much fun....I know there are challenges there too but all the other easy happy goofy times make you forget about everything else. P.S. Thank you to Aunt Poo Choo, Uncle Scott, Grandma C and Papa D for "date night". It was fabulous!!!! Good week and great running to all!

Week 10....Time to challenge myself!
We have been so busy....but the running is still going strong. I did run my two's and three miler. I was supposed to run a 4 on Sunday but opted to run three and walk three instead. I just need to push through the next mile. It's not that I can't do it....it's just that I know once I push past the 4 mile mark there is no turning back on the mileage. It's a mental block I guess.
I needed a way to move forward and leave the block behind so I registered for the Chelan 10k again. This will be the third year in a row that I have run it. The first time I was preggers with P-nutt and ran a 1:02. The second time I ran with PooChoo and it was 4 months after my C/Section and so I had to do a little walking and we finished in 1:24. So this year I would really like to push it and finish under an hour....even if it's 59:59. But I think I will set my goal at 59:50. I would have to run a 9:37 pace...and it's probably going to kick my butt...but I think if I really push it and add some speed work...it can be done. I have six weeks to get there. I just want to pick up my pace a little. I have avoided speed work for a long time because I DESPISE sprinting. I always have. I hate sprinting the way I hate mule kicks or sauerkraut and thats ALOT. (no offense to those of you who enjoy either of those :) )
So there you have it. A smaller goal is set in place....46 days to get there. Tonight we're back on the track to time a mile....WML
