Sigh.......

I have neglected my blog. I haven't had a minute to slow down but I think over the next few days I can finally breathe a sigh of relief. I survived Winter quarter....despite feeling like I was on the verge of having a nervous breakdown. I got an A in Human Development and a B in A&P II. It was a little touch and go with the A&P because this quarter was harder and the body systems more complex. Thank god it is over. Normally I am unhappy with a B, but I can now just breathe a sigh of relief at this point and move on. Next quarter it's just Microbiology....it will be interesting to see how things will go towards the end of the quarter since baby will be due. I'll probably be in labor studying for my final exam...good focal point(s)...pictures of gross stuff growing in petri dishes.

We had a really busy weekend. I had my final on Friday afternoon and then worked. On Saturday afternoon after catching some Zzzz's we went to Wenatchee to take care of some errands. We finally replaced all of the 1970's gold light fixtures in the house and now are working on some other projects like flooring and finishing up some painting. I put together baby beans new swing....so now it is set up and waiting for the pudge to sit in it. Tomm I am going to work on the bassinet and stroller.

We've still been walking and hopefully now that I have more time (at least until the 4th in between work) we'll be able to get out and enjoy some more fresh air. We walked five miles yesterday. It took us an hour and a half, mind you but we made it. Then we were off to work so with all the movement yesterday bean was probably getting some good sleep. Tomorrow we have another OB appointment and we are 32 weeks.

We are going to start some child birthing classes next week so that should be um....fun? And then we get Shelby for some of her spring break. Lots going on so I am sure April is going to be over in a blink. I am going to be so ready in May to have this baby so I can put my running shoes back on again. I am so glad that we are delivering before summer gets here.

LOL to all and wishing everyone a wonderful week as usual!

Five Days until Vacation.....and other countdowns

Just thought I would give everyone a new "look, see" at Shelbz new tooth. It is growing in pretty fast. (now to the other mother that is competing with us tooth for tooth....we are just showing off our one little tooth. We concede to you and your "two"teeth...for now...but look out for the future).

I have five days left of this quarter. It is going to be the end of me and my brain. This has been a difficult quarter, I'll admit it. I am ready to be done with A&P. I finished Human Development with a bang. A 20 page final and 10 page paper. Thirty pages of stuff I wrote in like two and a half days. I almost didn't leave the house except to go to work. 5 days until this quarter is over, 65 days until babies birthday, 182 days until I start the nursing program in the fall (and then only three quarters and I AM FINISHED) and 251 days until the Seattle Marathon. Alot of stuff coming up this year. It's so exciting...(and I'm tired just thinking about it)

Jake didn't get the job over in the Tri-cities. We were dissapointed of course.....but I admit I felt a little relieved. We have so much going on right now and a move in a month or two probably wouldn't have been the smartest thing to try and get through as we are having a new little one, and me trying to finish school and making sure all is settled with Shelbz. We have our hands full enough as it is. When it's meant to be it will all work out anywayzzzzz.

This weekend we enjoyed the 50 and 60 degree weather. It was fabulous. There is no more snow on the ground and all the pyro's in our neighborhood are getting into the spring spirit by burning piles of crud they have been storing up over the past 6 months to a year. Nothing like the sweet smell of a burn pile smoldering.

We (me and bean) have been out walking. We went out of for a six mile jaunt this morning and walked a 4 miler with Dad last night. I can't wait for spring break to get here so I can get outside everyday and be moving. Wednesday we'll go for another doctors appointment and we'll be 31 weeks then. Let the countdown's begin!

Insomnia and the Two weeks of H-E-double hockey sticks

Ahhhhhh the sweet smell of spring is in the air. It is three in the morning here in the lovely city/town/countryside of the O-mak and it is 60 degrees. Sixty Degrees!!!!! It's a shame that I am going to be trapped in either the house or school for the majority of the day trying to climb the mountain high stack of school work my professors have kindly given us for a spring quarter going away present.

Yesterday was a declared "mental health day" after I got off of work. I slept from 9am until 1pm and then we got pizza, drank grape soda and watched movies. I don't know if my mental health is much improved but it felt good to vegetate until like 8:30 pm when I finally had to go to sleep. I'm sure my baby appreciated the buffalo wings, pizza, and grape soda....It's like a chuckee cheese party in that womb. He/she had the hiccups for like 20 minutes yesterday and it was the first time Jake could really see and feel some movement.

So the next two weeks I am going to work really hard on not having some sort of nervous breakdown. I think I am going to have to bust out the new stroller and walk it around the neighborhood about sixty times a day to get in some good exercise. It's good practice for when the bean is born. I am now jealous of the people I see out on the street running in the morning. I am starting to get a little ansty....and I know with the warm weather starting to come around I am going to want to get out there.

Jake and Shelby had alot of fun at the "cat tails"and got to see some really big lions and a LIGER. It sounded pretty exciting and I think they even talked about going back again maybe this summer. Can you believe it is almost mid March? Summer is just around the corner. May is coming up faster then I could have ever imagined.

I can't sleep. Partially due to the fact that my mind is racing with all of the things I need to get done and partially due to the fact that my dog has now been sick for three days. I need to take him in to the vet but I am a little nervous to hear anything bad. He has been getting up all times of the night and day to go outside. When he gets out there he sort of just wanders aimlessly. I am just hoping that whatever ailment he has will pass. Maybe it's old age. I hope so. I don't think I could handle anything worse.

On a lighter note....we are going to be 30 weeks pregnant on Wednesday. Only ten more weeks to go. It is really hard for me to grasp that in ten weeks I am going to be someones mother. I suppose I am right now....but once they are here it becomes really real. Ten weeks ago it was New Years and we were shooting off fireworks and almost burning down the city of Bremerton. Ten weeks from now I will be someones mom. Mental health day? Um. I think maybe I need like a month......or two. Haha! :) Hoping everyone has a terrific week!

It's arrived!

The picture doesn't do it justice....but last night we slept on a little bit of heaven. Our new bed got in just yesterday...yippee. Now we just need some new bedding and pillows and it's family of four ready.

Update on Shelbys tooth....the dentist pulled it yesterday so the tooth fairy is going to be making a visit any day now. Jake is going to chaperone a field trip to "Cat Tails" on Friday and I think he and Shelbz are very excited. He also has a job interview today and we're very excited....so cross your fingers and toes.

I have been neglecting my blog lately because I just haven't had the time. This week is another tough one with school....I just hope I can make it through with some hair on my head. I hope everyone is doing well and I promise to call/write/email when I get through this crazy week.

Look who has a new tooth....

Not the greatest picture....but behind that loose tooth is a nice big grown up tooth growing in. I can't believe it. Tooth fairy should be arriving soon....:) LOL to everyone.
